Stonecrest's Country Club Standard Demands Country Club Maintenance

Stonecrest sits on rolling hills in Summerfield, Florida, just north of The Villages in southern Marion County. Developed between 1990 and 2023 across multiple phases (originally Floridian Club Estates, taken over by Stonecrest Management in 1993, with the final Lennar Homes phase completing in 2023), the community holds approximately 2,200 single-family homes built around an 18-hole championship golf course, a 9-hole executive course, the 7,000 square foot Crest Club, a 12-acre Recreation Complex, four pools including a heated indoor saltwater pool, and amenities supporting 80 or more resident-run clubs. As an HOA of the Year winner, Stonecrest sets a community standard that residents take seriously.

In a gated country club community where homes back to the fairways, line the golf cart paths to the Crest Club, and sit visible from the two manned gates, exterior appearance is part of the community identity. Algae streaks on a north-facing roof become visible from the cart path and the course. Green film on stucco gets noticed by neighbors at the Recreation Complex. Orange irrigation staining on driveways shows up clearly in listing photos. Most Stonecrest homeowners wait too long, then pay more to undo the damage than they would have paid to maintain the property on a regular rotation.

How Working With Starr's & Stripes Works

01

Call or Request a Quote Online

Reach out by phone, text, or our online form. Most estimates come back same day. We walk you through what your specific Stonecrest property needs, with special attention to whether you are in a single-family home (where you handle all exterior maintenance) or a villa (where your POA dues cover lawn care but not house washing). You get a written price before any water hits your property.

02

Randy and Matt Show Up Ready to Work

Our certified crew arrives at the Stonecrest main gate with commercial-grade equipment and the training to know which technique belongs on which surface. Single-family homes and villas both get a specific approach: low-pressure soft wash on the house and roof, high-pressure surface cleaning on the driveway and cart path, gentle technique on lanai screens. You do not need to be home. We text updates and send after-photos when the job is complete.

03

Your Property Meets the Stonecrest Standard

Certified soft wash kills algae and mold at the root. POA-aligned methods protect your shingle warranty and your community standing. Most Stonecrest homes only need this service every 12 to 18 months. The result is the kind of property that fits the Stonecrest HOA of the Year reputation, without the work on your end.

Why Stonecrest Residents Choose Starr's & Stripes

Stonecrest is one of the most established 55+ communities in southern Marion County, with a distinct identity centered on country club living, golf cart access to The Villages just to the south, and the kind of community pride that earns HOA of the Year recognition. We have worked Stonecrest properties and we know what makes this community different from the larger 55+ developments north of Ocala.

Three construction eras across the master plan

Stonecrest was built across 33 years (1990 through 2023), which means the community contains homes from three distinct construction eras. The original 1990s through early 2000s neighborhoods feature established single-family homes with stucco exteriors, mature landscaping, and the kind of architectural details from the original Floridian Club Estates and early Stonecrest Management phases. The mid-period 2000s through 2010s homes added newer floor plans and material details. The final 2018-2023 Lennar Homes phase introduced contemporary designs and materials that round out the community inventory. Each era requires a slightly different cleaning approach, and we adjust accordingly.

contract

Villa neighborhoods (POA covers lawn care only, not building washing)

Stonecrest includes villa-style attached and detached homes whose POA dues include lawn care services. Important distinction for villa residents to understand: the POA covers your yard, but it does NOT cover building pressure washing, roof cleaning, driveway cleaning, lanai care, or any other exterior maintenance of the home itself. Villa residents who hire us are responsible for all the same exterior work as single-family residents. We are clear about this up front so there is no confusion about what we are doing versus what your POA already handles.

footpath

Golf course and cart path properties

Stonecrest's 18-hole championship course plus 9-hole executive course (27 holes total) winds throughout the community, which means many homes back directly to fairways or sit along the cart path network. These properties have extra visual exposure: the back roof slope is visible to every golfer on every hole, and the cart path frontage means neighbors see your driveway and lanai every time they head to the Crest Club or the Recreation Complex. We recommend a shorter cleaning rotation (six to twelve months) for golf-facing homes to keep the community presentation consistent.

Crest Club, Recreation Complex, and the community amenity zones

The 7,000 square foot Crest Club anchors community social life with fitness center, enclosed saltwater pool, arts and crafts, game and card rooms, billiards, kitchenettes, computer room, and library. The 12-acre Recreation Complex adds outdoor pools, pickleball, tennis, bocce, softball, and two dog parks. Homes near these amenity hubs see consistent foot traffic from residents headed to clubs, classes, and social events. Properties with exterior conditions that fall behind get noticed faster in these zones than in quieter parts of the community.

save-the-world

Golf cart access to The Villages

One of Stonecrest's distinctive features is golf cart access to The Villages and the surrounding retail just outside the gates. Many Stonecrest residents use golf carts as their primary local transportation, which means driveways and cart paths see heavier wear and biological accumulation than typical residential properties. Driveway and cart path cleaning is a frequently requested service in Stonecrest, often scheduled together with the annual house wash.

A Recent Stonecrest Job

Earlier this year we got a call from a homeowner in one of the established Stonecrest neighborhoods preparing to list their home. The property sat on a golf-facing lot with a clear view of the back roof from the fairway. Black algae streaks had become visible on the north slope of the shingle roof, the stucco showed green film on the side that gets the most irrigation overspray, and the driveway plus golf cart path had collected the orange staining that builds up over years. They had a Realtor walkthrough scheduled in nine days and wanted everything looking right.

We arrived the following Tuesday with the right equipment for each surface. Soft washed the roof and the stucco in the morning with low pressure that protected both the shingle warranty and the original color. Surface cleaned the driveway and the cart path with rotary equipment sized for each. Did the lanai and the screen enclosure with low-pressure technique that did not touch the mesh seal. The Realtor walkthrough was a full hour shorter than the homeowner expected because the property showed itself. Listing photos shot the following week. The home sold inside the first weekend at full asking. The homeowner sent us to two neighbors near the Crest Club the following month. That is how most of our Stonecrest work happens. One driveway, one cart path, one Crest Club conversation at a time.

FAQs

Common Questions About Power Washing in Stonecrest

How much does power washing cost in Stonecrest?

Most Stonecrest single-family homes pay between $275 and $525 for a soft wash of the house exterior. Larger Estate-style homes run $400 to $700. Villa pricing typically runs $225 to $400 per unit. Driveway and golf cart path cleaning typically runs $175 to $300 when done together. Roof soft washing on a standard shingle roof runs $300 to $575. Most residents schedule a property-wide service on a 12-month rotation for a package price. Starr’s & Stripes provides a written estimate before any work begins.

No. Stonecrest villa POA dues include lawn care services for the villa neighborhoods, but they do not include exterior pressure washing of the building. Villa residents are responsible for their own house washing, roof cleaning, driveway cleaning, lanai care, and any other exterior maintenance. This is different from some other Florida 55+ communities where the villa HOA does cover building pressure washing. Call (352) 230-9299 to confirm what your specific POA dues cover.

Starr’s & Stripes PowerWash serves every Stonecrest neighborhood including the original 1990s through 2000s sections, the 2010s phases, and the final 2018-2023 Lennar Homes phase. Yes. Starr’s & Stripes uses certified soft wash methods that meet shingle manufacturer warranty conditions, ARMA cleaning recommendations, and the appearance standards enforced by the Stonecrest Property Owners Association (POA). Stonecrest is an HOA of the Year winner with high community standards. Our biodegradable detergents are safe for surrounding landscaping. Routine cleaning that restores original appearance generally does not require any POA application.

Most Stonecrest homes benefit from professional exterior cleaning every 12 to 18 months. Homes on the golf course (the 18-hole championship course or the 9-hole executive course) often need service every 6 to 12 months because the back roof slope is visible from the fairway. Homes near the Crest Club, the Recreation Complex, or the main gate also see higher foot traffic and benefit from a shorter rotation.

No. Standard high-pressure washing can tear or stretch screen mesh and force water past the seal at the cage frame. Starr’s & Stripes uses a low-pressure soft wash technique on lanais and screen enclosures that removes algae, mold, and tropical pollen from both the screens and the cage frame without damaging the mesh or the seals. Stonecrest lanais are often the most visible feature from a neighbor’s window or the golf course.

Yes. Pre-listing exterior cleaning is one of our most common requests from Stonecrest residents preparing to sell. Stonecrest is a popular destination for 55+ buyers seeking a Villages-adjacent gated community with a country club lifestyle, and curb appeal directly affects asking price and time on market. We can complete a full property clean (house, roof, driveway, golf cart path, and lanai) in one to two days, in time for professional listing photography. Schedule at least one week ahead of your photo date when possible.
